We welcome your help! Below are some opportunities we have identified in CSPA that need assistance. However, if you want to help and don't see a way to help us here, please contact us with the role you want to play.

Our teams include:

We have an elected President who sets the vision of the organization and group leads that set the goals for their teams. We are constantly looking for individuals who:

  • Enjoy providing a service and contributing to the Silicon Valley community
  • Are enthusiastic and have a "do whatever it takes" attitude towards accomplishing things in which they enjoy
  • Want an avenue for showcasing their skills or experimenting in new career areas
  • Want the opportunity to work closely with other dedicated individuals, successful executives and venture capitalists

The following are some areas where we would like to get some additional expertise.

Marketing:

Even non-profits need great marketing. CSPA has a great story to tell and a great brand to showcase. As part of the CSPA marketing team, you will help make that happen continuously and consistently. Whether you are a marketing professional or simply have a great desire to be one, let"s talk. We are looking for talents who are self-motivated and outgoing, possess excellent communication skills, and have broad knowledge of high tech industry trends. Key tasks include:

  • Develop and manage relationships with key alliances and marketing channels.
  • Create and execute marketing and messaging campaigns to promote CSPA membership and events.
  • Create and refine the branding strategy.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement various marketing initiatives.

    Public Relations:

    We are looking for volunteers to implement and manage public relations initiatives. Whether you are an experienced PR professional or just someone with a knack for messaging and good copies, there"s an opportunity for you to make an impact at CSPA. We are looking to build out our PR team to roll out a strategic PR plan for our monthly events and our marquee Annual Conference in the fall. Key tasks include:

    • Connect with local media outlets to generate publicity our 2004 Annual Conference.
    • Develop news release and other PR vehicles for announcements.
    • Manage and coordinate PR activities with our sponsor PR agency.
    • Partner with rest of the marketing team to create outbound marketing programs that generate interest and response to our events.

    Event Management:

    CSPA prides itself on consistently developing quality events. Our events typically bring together some of the most successful and brightest minds in the high-tech industry, and challenge them to share their insights on current issues with our audience. Our event managers are the key to that greatness. The event manager produces an event from concept to closing remarks, and is responsible for everything in between. If you are interested in good project management and execution, or if you want to network with the luminaries of the tech industry, we have a place for you on our team. Key tasks include:

    • Manage event from concept and speaker recruitment to marketing and event closure.
    • Develop relationships and contacts with potential keynote and panel speakers from the high tech industry.
    • Generate P&L for each event.

    Business Development

    The CSPA Business Development team is actively looking for sponsorships and synergy opportunities with individuals and organizations. As a member of the team, you will be responsible to source sponsor prospects, to identify synergy opportunities, to structure and close deals, and to manage and deepen the relationships. Becoming a member of Business Development team, you would be able to broaden your professional network, and to sharpen your business acumen and skills. We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Broad knowledge of high tech industry trends.
    • Creativity to come up with win-win situations.
    • Access to decision makers is a plus.
    Meetings / phone conferences with prospects during weekdays (breakfasts / evenings) in South Bay Area are occasionally needed.
